Dentistry at its highest level incorporates many techniques, materials and ongoing education. This often involves our team travelling the world or sourcing materials from Europe and beyond to maximise the treatment outcomes for our patients. As a result, we are aware that this has an environmental impact.

As a practice that places hundreds of implants a year we like to reduce the implant complications as much as possible. Using guided implant surgery we can plan an implant virtually, and then accurately place an implant in the most safe, predictable, and efficient manner. With guided surgery, not only can we place the implant for the most aesthetic result, but we can also superimpose abutments to predict how much room will be needed for the crown or any other restoration.
To do guided implant surgery we need two things: a cone beam scan, and an itero scan. We put the two scans together so can see the patient’s bone density and thickness, where the patients’ nerves and sinuses are, where their gums are and where their surrounding teeth are. Matt can then choose the best implant width, length and position for the patient and get their surgical guide made.

We have expanded the MODUS team again! After great success in opening our fourth surgery in January 2017 we have now also increased our general dentistry hours.
We have welcomed Raj Athwal to the team. He has been building his reputation as an excellent dentist who is dedicated to patient care and providing dental treatments of the highest possible quality and standards.

Yes that’s right, the whole week! From September 25th to September 29th everyone at MODUS Advanced Dental Clinic baked and sold cakes to raise money for Macmillan. We were really successful and raised over £200. Thank you to everyone who came in and supported this great charity.

We are hosting our 3rd Annual Charity Day which will be a fun-filled day of clay pigeon shooting, rifle shooting, archery and socialising, to be held at Honesberie Shooting School on June 10th 2016.
AND WE’D BE DELIGHTED IF YOU COULD JOIN US!
The aim of the day is to provide local dentists and hygienists with a fun and relaxing day after the end of the financial year, and in the process raise much needed funds for local charities with a target of £2000 …and more!

We’re proud to announce that after the success of the 2014 Charity Day, we will be running a new 2015 Charity Day on Friday 27th March.
This will again be raising money for Myton Hospices, a local charity close to the heart of many of our staff and patients. To book your place or for further information, email [email protected] There are sponsorship opportunities and the chance to attend even if you are not a dentist or hygienist.
